Last week on Thursday I was just leaving Bunnies when I got a phone call from Steve at the Outdoor Play Company, saying they were ready to start the work!
I met Lee and Mike who are going to be making our Outside Area into a small but nice play area for the children, with some rubber surfacing and a fence.
They will be doing the work piece-meal so I'm not expecting it to be done quickly, but at least it's happening - we've waited 4 years for this!!
This is what the Outside Area looked like in the Summer.
Waiting in our account we have £2000 from an Ealing Council Grant, and £1500 from a grant from John Lyons Charity. £3500 doesn't buy a lot, but it's a start and we can always extend if we get more money next year.
